Grendal class setup

Post » Thu Dec 08, 2011 2:07 pm

Does anyone have a class setup using the Grendal that really works? I'm trying to develop one but I'm having trouble picking the right attachments/armor modules.

I cannot speak from personal experience, but one of my friends use it with the Single Shot attachment and the Rapid Fire module.

Thank you BooBirdo .
Yes i use: reflex ,surpressor, single shot . Rapid fire
any other enhancement is down to your own choice .
its stronger and far more accurate with single shot makes it so much easier for headshot kills too :)

I don't understand why everyone loves using using it with single shot, its a tiny bit more powerful but overall it takes longer to kill someone than it does with 2 quick bursts. Single shot is good for longe range I guess but overall I'd much rather use burst fire anyway thats just my opinion. Retriever or rapid fire are good modules to use with a grendel.

I use the Grendel bare.

I find the scope to be too big of a detriment at close range. I also think the tiny green front open sight is more precise than the fuzzy red reflex dot at long range (part of this is the other perks I'll explain below). Close range I feel about equally capable with open or reflex.

I don't use the suppressor because I don't think the radar invisibility is a sufficient tradeoff for the damage reductions. I've been playing about 40/60 cloak/armor lately, so your mileage will vary.

No under-barrel accessories because I like to use semi-auto. I'd say 80/20 single/burst depending on the situation.

Suit perks; I've been using nano-recharge simply because it works great for me regardless of class.

Specifically with the Grendel, I like visor enhance because it's fantastic at spotting enemies quickly at range and gunning them down, including cloaked ones once it's leveled up. However I think the red 'halo' from visor enhance is why I specifically avoid the reflex sight. It all becomes a reddish fog.

Also Aim enhance III. Specifically level three. The recoil isn't significant in itself but at level 3 it increases movement speed when aiming down the sites. This allows me to both strafe-aim more effectively, and allows an opportunity to use visor enhance to spot opponents during energy recharge without being slowed down. Exceptionally useful when traversing to different parts of the map. Sprint to get to the action, then a very brief pause to recharge for armor mode and spot opponents, without being slowed down.

I really like the Grendel but I don't use it...

only reason being is that I feel it doesn't respond to every time I pull the trigger...

like it feels very inconsistant to me....
