Companion Damage count towards the 10,000 damage xbox achiev : Fallout: New Vegas

Does the damage that your companions deal count toward the "10,000 damage with blah" achievements?

I just got the one for 10,000 damage with guns but I didn't put very many points into energy weapons and unarmed.
