Leyawiin and Cyrodiil during the timeframe of Skyrim

Post » Thu Dec 08, 2011 12:10 pm

I'm going to be making a mod for Skyrim, and it will be using characters and information from Leyawiin, Cyrodiil. I am curious to know what the condition and state of the EMpire is, at least as far as county Leyawiin is concerned. Basically I need to know that the area hasn't been wiped out or that there would be anything else in the way of my mod conflicting with established lore. Thanks.

During the Great War, Leyawin and Bravil were both cut off from the rest of the Empire for the majority of the war. Both were placed under siege, and quite likely heavily damaged from years of fighting.

If the impression I got from the books on the Great War is accurate, the only city not to be sacked was Bruma.

Leyawiin would make a great Berlin-style divided city. I can see the Dominion, the Empire, and the Argonians all wanting control over the mouth of the Niben...

I don't think Chorrol or Cheydinhal were sacked either, were they? And Kvatch and Anvil are only mentioned as the Elven army "bypasses them" on their way to Hammerfell.

If the Thalmor cut off Bravil and controlled the Niben, then it would be highly likely that the Khajiit took the chance to reclaim the Transniben, possibly with Leyawiin included.

I wanted to create a mod for Skyrim with characters on an expedition into Skyrim from Leyawiin. Is there any chance of this idea being accepted?

Leyawiin is currently part of the empire, so it would be totally acceptable. I don't see why it wouldn't. It would also be totally acceptable to have an Altmer on an expedition into Skyrim from the heart of Alinor.

My plan is to have the descendants of and new members of the Knights of the White Stallion be on an expedition into Skyrim under order of the current Count of Leyawiin. Do they still use the Count system? Do we have a name for the current Count?

The only problem I can see with that is that The Knights of the White Stallion would likely have been eradicated/ forced to disband during Thalmor occupation, assuming they even survived Leyawiin becoming a city-state then being reabsorbed. I suppose you could have a descendant discover his origins and reforge The Knights of the White Stallion ala Knights of the Nine. Whatever suits you, I don't think there's anything definitive regarding them.

If you wanted you could have them falling back to the imperial city to rally with Titus Mede II's forces when the Thalmor attack, then being part of the story from then on.

Leyawiin also likely still has a count, but I'm not sure if its ever mentioned, and if it is the count/countesses name.

Thanks for the information, I will keep it in mind. I guess I will have to think up a history between then and now for that faction.

The knights were around as a competent force during Lord of Souls (c. 4E 43). Doesn't say anything about them during Skyrim, of course.

Those were the Knights of the Thorn. Not the Knights of the White Stallion.

Which is fine, and close enough.

Speaking of, is there any mention of Kvatch being rebuilt?
