Forsworn and "The Reach"

I would just like to see where people stand on this since Skyrim doesn't give you much of a choice.

They're a bunch of bloodthirsty cultists with a penchant for raiding and pillage. Any sympathy I could have had for them disappeared when they attacked me on sight when I was just minding my own business.

High Rock is just Skyrim's Old Hold. Older than the First Hold. It belongs to Skyrim.

I did the quest, heard the sob-stories, and was, for a while, sympathetic to their cause.

Then they attacked me, revealing themselves to be nothing but a bunch of bloodthirsty savages. Hell with 'em.

I vote for the people not letting lunatic half-bird cultists/witches act as their spiritual leaders.

They're naturally hostile towards outsiders after what the Nords put them through.
(Plus the devs didn't give any choice...)

True, but honestly, with half bird half lady witches giving them orders, I don't think that it would end well no matter which way the wind blows. I tried REALLY hard to feel sorry for them, and even helped their 'king' escape, but in the end, half way through the dwemer ruins I turned on em. Their really not worth the time.

Where the hell do they come from though? Didn't all men on Tamriel descend from the Nord immigrants from Atmora, according to lore? Or were these Forsworn already there?

Yeah, they're decedents of Breton's.
They're full of crap in other words.

They're Reachmen, or savage bretons who have never been the most...kind people in history.

If people think the Stormcloaks are racist, these guys are the Thalmor x11

These are the witch-kings. They're true Lorkhanites.

And no, men have always been on Tamriel. Remember, the Nords returned to Skyrim, from Atmoa.

Not Bretons. They're descendants of the original Nedish stock that Bretons came from. Bretons are the result of generations of "mingling" with elves.

The forsworn are Bretons? I'm still not sure what they are.

Well whatever they are I've been killing them by the dozens lately. If their populations weren't infinite and respawning I would have made them extinct. They make nice fun prey for a werewolf though.

They're Reachmen, who are a group of bretons. Not breton, like a breton, but a similarish heritage.

Spoiler
The nords are genocidal lunatics led by Ulfric who perpetrated their war crimes at the behest of the Thalmor to weaken the Empire for a later conquest of all of Tamriel, including Skyrim.

I don't see any serious way you can justify siding with the people running the concentration camps and blaming the victims for the crimes committed against them.
