After a good 20+ hours of playing, I finally stopped by the strip and visited Mr. House at the Lucky 38. He grants you access to the Presidential Suite so I moved a bunch of my loot from the motel room at Novac to the casino. I bought the weapons storage trunk, and both workbench storage trunks. I put most of my miscellaneous items in both workbench trunks (not necessary to move ammo casings, etc, since they have no weight in normal mode, but I did anyway) and continued on with the game. After coming back a couple hours later, all of the stuff I put in both workbench trunks disappeared. Fortunately, my looted weapons were still in the weapons trunk, but I lost all the miscellaneous items I've been collecting over these many hours. I know it's just a game, but it pissed me off to have some bug disappear all the stuff I've been collecting for so long.

I can't expect anything to be done about this at this point, just beware that you may loose your loot in the storage lockers you can purchase from the terminal at the Presidential Suite. I've since just moved all my extra loot to one of the wardrobes that came with the place.

Oh, any it would be nice to be able to purchase a reloading bench for the suite.

So...does your stuff disappeared from the wardrobes too? I ask because i remember a similar bug from Fallout 3 on the lockers of Megaton House.

No, just those particular workbench lockers. The wardrobes seem fine, so far anyway.

i have read elsewhere that anything you put in the workbench chest will b gone, and I can confirm this.
all the other storage, wardrobes, weapons chests, etc, are safe.

hell, I used wolfhorn ranch until I got real player housing and nothing vanished from there.
