The old Elder scrolls creators vs the ones from morrowind to

This may be off topic but I want the opinions of the lore buffs. As you know The Elder scrolls has changed a lot over the years. The new Elder scrolls are based more on getting new players and getting better graphics than worrying about storyline and characters that are not annoying. The old creators had a vision, a vision to build a fantasy series to stand out amongst the rest and last the ages. The newer creators are still top notch but had an already created world, they simply made and added very flavorful icing to an already delicious cake. But still I find Todd Howard to promised things he cant keep. He releases too much info which does build new fans before the game actually comes out but creates too much to be expected . Morrowind is still by far my favorite TES game (even though most people don't agree I stick to it). While Todd Howard is still a very competent creator but is looking too much to make money and not enough to make a great game. He still wants to make a great game but profit trumps the detail of the art (which is the downfall of any artist).
So which group of creators is better? old or new?
Has Todd Howard been corrupted by profit?

The first 3 games seemed to focus more on building a world, lore and story. It's hard for me to vote because 1-2 were generally better, but 3 was the best IMO....

Uhhh...what? The Morrowind fans became the minority? When did this happen?

Personally, I prefer Morrowind and beyond thus far. Morrowind really gave the TES a flavor that truly set itself outside of the typical fantasy games, which for me is pivotal for me as it solidified a interesting story and backgrounds that are quite...complex. Arena and Daggerfell, for me, never had this spark aside from gameplay that set itself outside of other games of its type. Oblivion may of been the weaker of the titles, but I find Morrowind and thus far Skyrim to be stellar. I am satisfied. On that note, I'm not seeing why this was posted on the lore forum. Hardly seems the appropriate place for it.

A) A lot of people still adore Morrowind. Personally, I think it's not only the best TES game, but the greatest game period.
B) Back, foul troll!

The language and insistence on pinning it on Todd mark this as flame-bait.
If you replaced "Todd Howard" with "corporate influence and the increasingly business-oriented climate of the games industry" then I'd be conditionally sympathetic.
