Tiny Alduin

Unless we have all been mistaken and Alduin in game has little or nothing to do with the dragon god of time...

He is not properly sized for his function

Maybe he's like the TARDIS. You know, bigger on the inside.

How many topics have you made on this? I recall more from a few months back.

Edit: Like I said in the last one, he's a god. He can probably change his size.

No [censored]. It's an eating disorder.

Isn't it obvious? Every Kalpa Alduin starves himself. At the end, it's always just a matter of time, he goes into this crazy feeding frenzy. Only to throw it up minutes later.

Then again a description like Alduin snorted gruffly (a few farms shot out of his nose but he caught them with his tongue and pulled them back into his mouth, for he eats it all) is also provocative.

This. I mean, clearly the dude is suffering from bulemia. He's got all the signs. Binge eating, purging, hanging out with the wrong crowd, always wanting to fit in. You'll notice that he shows up in every pantheon, and has statues in every province. Do you think that's some sort of accident? No, Auriel is just that image-obsessed.

I see you and more members of this forum use the word "Kalpa" usually and I had to google its meaning.
I'm wondering why do you people use the Hindi word "Kalpa" instead the English word "Century",since from what I read on Wikipedia it's the same thing. (?)

A century is just one hundred years. An eon comes closer. A Kalpa is the period between the start of the world and it's end (the largest one). Given that we're dealing with a world eating dragon it's the more appropriate word.

The word was first used in an obscure text.

Here, a kalpa is a time cycle. It begins and ends with the world eating.

Edit: Ninja'd.

Alduin bursting through the rim of the sun and leaning into Mundus, like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gBzJGckMYO4, was the mental image I had.

Sanskrit, really.

But yeah, it evokes a Hindu-y http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eternal_return aesthetic that fits Aldy so well.

I'm picturing Mehrunes Dagon instead actually. It's funnier that way.

Slightly older thread, but this is the first time I've seen the eating disorder bit, so yay for that.

He's the same size as Akatosh, so I fail to see the problem.
