My companions is carrying a ton of my stuff right now especially my heavy dragon bones... and was wondering if there is anything I should be concerned with?

1. If companion dies will I get to retrieve my stuff?
2. If I dismiss a companion while they are holding my stuff will I get it back?
3. Could the companion glitch out and I loose my stuff?
