So i was attacked by skelets and i called my dragon from shouts, the dragon came and didnt even kill the skelets! he flew around and left! why didnt it help me!?

Its probably a bug

He never really helps me either, especially against other dragons. He usually just gets distracted by a bear or something off in the distance lol.

He was flying around, looking for the urgent threat facing you for which he was called. Seeing only skeletons, he took off, wondering what the hell you were thinking for summoning him in the first place.

What's with people today bumping their post after it's only been like 5 minutes?

Maybe he didn't help you because the landscape was poor and he couldn't swoop down or land anywhere. Or, maybe, as Sauroken said, he just wondered why the hell you summoned him for one of the easiest opponents in the game and just flew off angrily.

Because people are impatient. Duh.

Anyhow OP, prolly one of the above stated reasons. I think it spawns in as a normal dragon, just friendly, and sometimes dragons say "Screw you, i'm goin home." and fly off wondering if they forgot to pick up bread at the supermarket.

The area was of snow.
