The plight of the Orcs has always seemed tragic to me, seeing as they're hated almost universally by their neighbours. All they're trying to do is establish a home to avoid having to live nomadically, and yet the people who won't even give them the time of day go out of their way to destroy their city.
At least the imperials seem to treat them more fairly than the other races; the Legion in particular respects Orsimer, and they use it as a second home. Also, in the Third Era, Orsinium was actually applying its candidacy to the Empire to achieve provincial status (rather than being considered a territory within Hammerfell), but I guess politicians dragged their feet on that issue (not too suprising given other matters of concern, such as the Summerset embargo on Imperial goods, the rise of the Thalmor, the appearance of the Nerevarine).
It's just sad to see them treated so wretchedly, along with the beast races. It's about time they got some love, I should say.
It's no less than what they've earned for following Trinimac-anon-Malacath. The people of the Outcast must always themselves be outcastes. Makes bones strong, and puts hair on your green chest.
The day that Malacath remembers what it was like to be Trinimac is the day the orcs will no longer be pariah.
Edit: Also of note is how much of a
very bad idea it would be for the orcs, as a people, to all shun Malacath. The Patron of the Bloody Oath would
not take kindly to that kind of affront.
