I had a radiant 'go kill this guy' quest. He was in plain sight, in the middle of a town. Next thing I hear the Dragon Boss Battle Music start playing, and I turn around. A dragon lands on top of the sawmill, kills my target, then flies off. I track it down, kill it, absorb its soul. No bounty, target still died.

The fact is, a single chicken getting caught in the edge of a spell aimed at a dragon who has already eaten a half dozen people should not make the entire village want to murder me.
