Is there a mod to animate most, if not all tree leaves in Mo

Post » Thu Dec 08, 2011 8:34 pm

I accidentally discovered on YouTube a video showing Morrowind with animated grass using a mod and MGE. I was blown away and eagerly reinstalled my favorite game EVER. It took some tweaking but I got the animated grass working -- then I installed Vurt's Ascadian Isles mod which gives the leaves on the trees in that area a nice swaying animation.
But now, when I see a tree in another part of the game with static leaves, it's oddly distracting.

Is there a mod, or mods, that will replace most or ALL the leaves in Morrowind with animated leaves? Or are Vurt's Tree Replacer mods--if ticked ONLY in MGE--automatically animated? Not sure how that works...
Any help would be greatly appreciated -- thanks in advance!!

Ok then. I'll just settle for animated grass and nicer-looking static trees - thanks!

Maybe Vurt will decide to go back an add swaying trees to the rest of the regions.

That's cool, he's done enough for this game!
Oh, and just too confirm before I screw something up trying to change this -- if you have DistantLand enabled in MGE, then Morrowind's water pixel shading is disabled -- is that correct?
A fairly small price to pay for all the animated grass and trees, but I just want to be sure beforehand.
Thanks in advance!!

Yep, but MGE includes its own water shader that replaces the default water and makes it look, IMO, far better than the pixel shaded water.

Also, Vurt http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GLSf8pnBC3w&feature=channel_video_title with animating trees with MGE; it looks great in that video but apparently there were graphical glitches with it, if I recall correctly the swaying animation extended all the way down the trunk so it was shifting around on the ground. So it is technically possible, just not ideal at the moment.

EDIT: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-tuZ-_yu0bo&NR=1 where you can actually see the problem. Check out the base of the trunk of the tree on the far left in the beginning.

I actually agreed with that about the water at first, when I was in Morrowind, especially the area around Vivec, and even Solstheim's water looked great. But then I checked out Tribunal -- which a large part of takes place in the sewers -- and the water there, above and below ground, looked as plain as vanilla Morrowind WITHOUT pixel shading. Can you tell me is there a setting in MGE that would help the water in Tribunal look better, or am I just stuck with it as it is?

I believe you just need to check the "include interiors with water" box on the menu for generating distant statics.
