Stabling Horses

Post » Thu Dec 08, 2011 11:32 pm

Hey, guys.

I got Frost from that quest over in Riften, and while having a horse is certainly pretty cool, it can get a little bit annoying having it fast-travel with me everywhere I go.

So, I was wondering it it's possible to stable the horse or somehow prevent if from following me (other than the obvious solution of, I don't know, killing it?), because I very much prefer to do all of my exploring by myself - I don't want to have to worry about it getting killed or running off or anything of the sort. It really breaks my immersion and takes away from my enjoying the game.

Maybe I could try leaving his ownership papers in a chest or something... Edit: Nope, that didn't work.

Other than that, however, I am absolutely *loving* the game. :)

Thanks for your time!

I would like to know this too
just bought a horse for a long trip I had to make but it's not even that much (if any) faster than normal walking and now it's with me all the time

It is faster than walking if you make it gallop/sprint, but I still prefer to walk. :P

I really hope to see a patch to address and change features for horses. They're not 'permanent' fixtures in this game yet. Meaning, that if you own one, you WILL lose it... just a matter of time before it wanders away. I've said it several times, but they should take a lesson from Red Dead Redemption. The first game to NAIL horses (and they rightfully should have, since it's a cowboy shooter), and Bethesda should take lessons from it.
