Meh I heard the level cap was 50

I haven't reached 50 myself since I've got 3 characters.

Incorrect, the level cap is not 50. Statistically, if you get every skill to level 100 then you will be level 81, therefore there are 80 perk points available.

I am level 81 with my assassin/barbarian. Yes, you heard me. I use archery and stealth but if things get heavy I pull out a 2 hander lol
