Media steamrolls recent Skyrim "patch"

Post » Thu Dec 08, 2011 10:11 am

Patch didn't create issues per your own link. Patch was for DRM.

Eh ?? Perhaps you weren't over in the PC Issues forum when the patch was released. 500 posts and 30,000 views in 2? hours I believe, about people not being able to start their games.

I'd say that's a pretty damned big issue. Show me one other thread that has exploded like that.

You're such a waste of oxygen.

Piracy is not done. But DRM is not the answer and it's true that pirates don't have to deal with drivers/software installed they never asked for. Not to mention the constant hoops whilst one torrent can save you all that hassle.

I still don't get why people say Steam bothers them when you can just go to

Steam -> Settings

And turn everything you don't want off with a single mouse click.

You're being dramaqueens.

I dunno. The reports are that it's not a normal update process controlled by Steam. Its a mandatory update that gets applied WHETHER OR NOT you set the updates flag.

That doesn't make his statement false.

What's your point? He was giving an opinion on the poster. He didn't say anything about his post being untrue.

You're right, they should just give up and start giving the game away for free to anyone who doesn't volunteer to pay for it.

You're a theif and should start giving life sentences to morons like you...I take that back, because honest people would still have to pay for your crooked ass to eat in prison...death penalty. :stare:

Wow I see all these people speaking passionately against pirates. WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU FOR THE REAL CRIMINALS? You know the one's destorying lives???? HMMMMM

I would be a thief if I stole a game from someone. If I can't afford a game, I pirate it. The developers don't lose a sale, because I couldn't have bought it anyway. Then there is a question about performance. I used to have a very crappy laptop for a very long time. I needed to test the games to find out if they would actually run on my laptop. This happens only because developers don't release the demos for their games.

And as I said, I did buy Skyrim.

But if you still think that I should get a life sentence for that, that means you think piracy is worse than murder. That makes me think that it is YOU, who is a moron.

You're such a waste of oxygen.

The last sentence applies to you as well.
