I've played out my Nord warrior toon and plan on starting a new Khajiit assassin/thief tonight once my wife lets me have Skyrim time. I have my perks pretty much mapped out in my head and want to use daggers 75% of the time and a bow the other 25%, situation dictating of course.... I'm curious when all of you other stealth assassin/thieves first landed in Skyrim and made your way to riverwood, what where the first few things you did to get acclimated, build your skills, and get ready for all the adventures that await? :thanks:

Basically use sneak when ever you travel. Once you get to riverwood, sell your stuff then double back to enbershard mine and clear out that place. Then I guess head off to bleak falls barrow. After that I would head to Riften for the thieves guild then head to winterhold to start DB quest.

I am a Khajiit, but I do not thieve! I am very sneaky so I just sneak through most dungeons, and use a bow or sword/shield. A good way to get sneak up is to find a mountain over-looking a giant camp, and shoot an arrow at them. They will search for you, but won't find you. It's a good way to abuse for sneak levels. I only did it once, and I only gained one level. It does get boring. -_-

Or for exploits, I think you can just crouch and beat the crap outa the guy you escape Helgen with. When you get to the bear just sneak down benhind him and keep attacking. He won't die nor turn on you.
