Problem with effective combat level

Post » Thu Dec 08, 2011 7:41 pm

I've come upon a problem with my game and it's the fact that I focused too much on non combat abilities. Smithing, enchanting and so on. My combat level is higher than it should be and I really struggle in fights now. Trolls and other enemies are just impossible for me to beat. I don't know how to get my combat skills up since I die every time I try to enter a fight. This is one of those moments I wish all training dummies would actually help me train my skills. Anyone got a solution for me or should I just restart? I suppose I could change combat difficuly from Master to something lower, but I really don't wish to do it.

If you don't want to restart, use your smithing to make iron daggers, and enchant them with a fear or banish enchantment. Even using petty soul gems, those will sell for thousands of gold. Sell them, then train your combat skills with trainers.

Otherwise, try really hard not to die and go fight people. Get plenty of potions and save a lot.

Ah that's a good idea, I forgot about trainers!
