I believe I've found a bug that resulted from installing the new patch.

When I talk to Ranger Andy and pass the speech check, I get the message that I learned a new technique and after pressing "X" the screen fades to black and returns to normal like it's done in my previous play throughs. When I go to talk to him again the same message pops up and the game freezes. It's not a normal freeze where I can just quit to the XMB or have to restart the entire PS3. In this case, I can press "start" and load the save from entering his bungalow. I can access the game menu, but other than I can't do anything.

On top of that, I just tried leaving the bungalow and returning after talking to Raul. When I attempt to talk to Andy, the camera zooms in like it's going to initiate conversation, but quickly zooms back out, similar to holding L1 without a firearm equipped.

I've managed to work around it. I talked to him. Got the Ranger Station Charlie thing. Came back and talked to him again. Then learned the move that way, followed by passing the speech check. After all that, it worked out fine.

I managed to repeat this bug multiple times prior to finding a way around it. I don't know if anyone else has run into it, but I wanted to present it in case it is a wide spread problem. Thank-you for your time.
