Would you pay for a "more wildlife" dlc

Post » Fri Dec 09, 2011 2:49 am

I'm sure the modders (looking at you Mart!) are already planning a big package of new creatures for Skryim, but if Beth released one as a dlc, would you pay to have official creatures added in or would you balk because "they should have shipped it with the game"? This is really more of a pc only question since I'm sure the console folks would pay for any additional content. But, more species of creatures, some completely new ones, maybe a few 'boss' animals or monsters thrown in for good measure.
What do you think?

I wouldn't pay just to have more seemingly useless animals running around doing nothing special. They'd have to come with a "real" DLC with, you know, new things to do or something. Can't say I miss boars and stuff like that anyway, I just don't really care much, even if they could add a tinny little something (at least, more than new trees or rocks).

No, lets get some worthwhile, sizable DLC not silly gimmicks.

If the animals supply reasonably harder puzzles, alot of the ones in Skyrim are a bit childish tbh.

I'm console, and no. Even when I lived out in the country, it's not like there was a ton of wild creatures roaming around. It would be like "Hey look, a rabbit", not "Hey look, twenty rabbits, fifteen squirrels, five packs of wolves, a herd of wild horses, seventy-five cows, bats, buzzards, hawks, eagles, and don't even get me started on all those disgusting insects." :-) Or maybe there was, but I wasn't seeing them. I think they did just fine with the way it is.

Erm... No. Not sure why people keep demanding these tiny meaningless DLC's but I'd prefer they invest that time into real, legit expansions. I'll probably download a mod for more wildlife down the line though, if only so I can smash more tiny lovable critters with my warhammer.

I would love to have more variety in the wildlife, but to pay for the DLC rather than get a free mod it would have to be cheap and do more than just "hey, here's a reskin or three of animals already in the game". Having Cliffracers or some other flying beast would be awesome.

I would like to actually see wildlife....well doing wild life stuff. If I see a wolf kill a rabbit, it just kills it then leaves. Why not eat it?? Or a bird tending to it's nest. 2 Mammoths fighting each other for a female etc.

Another "useless but desirable" DLC? No. They can toss it in with a bigger DLC.

The amount of wildlife currently in the game is fine for me personally.

However,i would pay for DLC that stopped every single living animal attacking you when you travel by horse on the main roads between towns and cities. Just the main roads mind you =)

Decided to travel from Falkreath to Riften on my horse earlier this evening..at one point i had 3 bears,4 wolves,2 frostbite spiders and a Frost Dragon attacking me simultaneously lol. Tis pretty much the same reason i never used the horses in Oblivion either..too much bother and potential for a glitchy mess of mob mayhem.

Wouldnt buy anything that dosent have the size of an add-on, meaning a new land mass, skills, perks, monsters, spells and unique large new quests
What for ? Replay the game just because it now has more pretty Moose and some new Chipmunks? ;)

Yes, as long as its lore friendly (though I assume it would be !) and with a fair price.
