The Lord Stone - how does it work?

Post » Fri Dec 09, 2011 2:19 am

Hi,

Just had a quick question. I read about the Lord Stone in the tooltip and it seemed good so I looked it up on UESP ( http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:The_Steed_Stone#The_Steed_Stone ) and it says "50pt Damage Resistance". What I am wondering is what does this translate to? Is it 50% less physical damage? Because if it is it seems quite powerful - especially combined with the 25% MR which is also on the blessing.

Cheers.

No, it gives 50pts of armor that stacks with your.. well, armor. Armor-rating is not direct damage reduction in this game.

It's the same as +50 armor. The actual effect is dependent on how much damage is being put out by whatever is hitting you. It's certainly NOT 50% damage reduction except maybe against skeevers by comparison to being completely unarmored.

Edit: Ninja'd because I was slow!

Ah, thank you. That's much less exciting ;)

With my level 44 Nord, full set of legendary dragonplate armor with an armor rating of 625 and the lord stone, I never die. So good xD Also considering the fact hat my armor gives me complete resistance to frost and fire, with my two-handed sword that absorbs health, its the perfect tank and dragonslayer
