EA & Crytek, this is the moment, MW3 failed.

Post » Thu Dec 08, 2011 10:38 pm

Well they really f*ck it up this time, MW3 multiplayer is a total disappointment, lag and disk reading issues, a broken spawn system and inconsistent weapon performance, so NOW is the right moment to take this game back to greatness, add the DLC maps to the basic playlist, you don't even need to fix the game, well if you can, DO IT, but is possible to workarround the issues and have a good time, so don't waste this opportunity, if you add the dlc maps to the basic playlist more people will buy those dlcs IT'S MORE MONEY TO YOUR POCKETS and more fun for us, this game is great and with a few fixes can EASILY defeat MW3, don't waste this oportunity.

That's funny. I needed a good laugh today.

In case you haven't noticed, Crysis 2 hasn't and can't defeat anything except itself.

MW3 once again is the biggest entertainment launch in history. Yeah, it's a big fail. lol

Besides, BF3 blows both of these games out of the water.

f*cking hell i just don't get this.

Everyone knows that MW3 is sh*t, or AT LEAST repetitive as f*ck. But hey! Whatever, 12 million idiots decide to still buy the damned game, in the FIRST week! When everyone knows that the developers didn't do sh*t to make a good game, even saying that dedicated servers are 'too expensive' WTF?! Too expensive?!

Honestly, everyone who bought this game are considered retards to me!
(rage mode disabled)

Crysis 2 IS better than MW3, but simply not as known. If EA were smart they present Crysis the new Halo. This game deserves publicity, but not in the bad kind, like what happened now.

BF3 is simply fking awesome, it pisses in MW3's mouth and MW3 will beg for more!!

Most 'gamers' are casuals. Casuals like easy games. MW3 is an easy game. Therefore MW3 will always beat the likes of Battlefield and Crysis, no matter what EA does. It's that depressingly simple.

im not a fan of your opinion. i dont think when "casuals" play games the first thing they think is "oh hey i hope this game is easy"

anyways, it's funny how people hate on games. if you dont like it, then dont play it simple. I play alot of shooters/games. I played crysis 2 (amazing game, very different than other shooters) HARD for awhile. but the same maps just got sooooooo boring. the support for this game is **** dead. we all need to get it thru our heads. crytek - you guys are asses for not integrating your maps. people paid money to play them, and can't find a game. you should just take the dlc down so no one else wastes money.

im playing alot of mw3 right now. the crysis series could EASILY compete with the COD series if they learn from their mistakes with this game....

MW3 is for angry little kids who love sending hate messages and singing down the mic. BF3 is for grown ups who like to play a game that encourages using your brain, not just your index fingers.

Also all you COD Elite subscibers, you do know that BF3 gives you all that stat tracking for free, or maybe not as you've been stuck playing the same game, same game engine since COD4. Why not try something new next year?

I there is a reason why so many people buy COD.
I borrowed MW2 from a friend of mine months ago. I didn't know what to expect. I started singleplayer and it was like every other shooter on the market, a cliched story but intense nonstop action. But people don't buy COD because of its singleplayer.
Then I decided to dive straight into multiplayer...
It was a blast! It's so much fun! And it's running smooth by the way. People buy COD because of its multiplayer. It is fun and lagfree. I really loved it I killed everyone with commando pro it is just so much fun.
I'm gonna buy MW2 it is only 25€

Actually, Halo wins. Because it is a better game, made (originally) by people who care about a good time and a quality game, with great laughs and good teamwork. Not pumping out a new barely-changed, mindless carnage, easy-kills, money-svcking piece of garbage.

But I'm not partial (just kidding, I'm totally partial)

People that play CoD don't know how to have a good time. They'll tell you they're having fun, but it's like a meth addict telling you they're happy, when really it's the meth talking.

Halo: Reach is the biggest FAIL in the franchise... so I don't know what you are talking about... they should've kept REACH more like older HALOS... they changed it too much.

I also played the first Halo on my Xbox. A great game. The very best in the entire series. I love the fact that the Marshall in Crysis 2 pretty much sounds like the shotgun in the first Halo. Brought back a lot of memories.

I still don't know what you mean.. because there isn't a game called "HALO"

There is Halo : Combat Evolved
Halo 2
Halo 3
Halo Wars
Halo ODST
Halo REACH

I only assumed you were talking about the latest "HALO" since you never specified.

One thing I DO know is Halo. And you talk **** about COD not changing enough or whatever, but that's how they **** halo up.

So which Halo were you talking about?

What? I was talking smack about Call of Duty because it's a piece-of-crap game that turns people into stupid idiots that don't know how to have fun and get high off of kills.

What I meant was I do not consider Reach to be connected to Halo because of what they did to it. They rewrote their canon from the book Fall of Reach, turned the multiplayer to ****, sold the game with countless glitches that they never fixed and left to 343, and advertised it to be a huge money-making scheme for Microsoft resulting in the incorporation of tons of **** who, like stated above, do not know how to have fun and screw up the whole multiplayer experience and camaraderie that was always Halo. Example: in any other Halo, if two people happened to get in the same vehicle together (say, red driver and blue gunner), those two people would stay like that and have a blast confusing the crap out of everyone. In Reach, the same instance would result in the gunner jumping out and running away, or worse the driver jumping out and beating the crap out of the gunner just to get the kill. Example: If two opposite team members would wind up on either side of a glass pane, those two people would likely teabag at each other, shoot a few rounds, spin in circles, etc. But in Reach, the same instance would result in one or both players trying to find a way around the glass to kill each other for the points.

And that's my rant

How the fu*k did this end up being about Halo and CoD? All the OP was saying was that there is a current demand in the FPS market which is not being fulfilled due to people's general disappointment with CoD (yes it had a big launch but that isn't a measure of how many people are still playing and enjoying the game) and that Crysis 2 could be used to fill up that demand with a strategy like this:

a) Price Drop: Everyone buys it.
b) Playlist Changes: Include Retaliation and that custom PC map pack into the regular playlist (not Decimation because of FY71 & the fact that EA needs to still make money).
c) Double/Triple XP Event: An event like this all the way from now to the end of december will have people coming out of everywhere to come and play.

Alright, now be constructive and stop arguing over CoD and Halo. This the the Crysis forum, dammit!

Halo: Reach was launched with so few bugs it reached the highest ZBR (Zero-bug Release) rating that Bungie ever attained. ZBR pertains to major bugs, not minor bugs, or cosmetic ones.

That scenario you put there seems more like something a few friends would do, private match shenanigans, or a few players goofing off that happen to meet in the same match. Halo has been the original console competitive FPS and more than likely you are going to bump into players that want competition. No matter the game, I wouldn't drive around someone that's killing my team mates. That scenario sounds funniest in Slayer where everyone is different colors and has no teams. One of the few types of players that ruins the gameplay in halo are the ones that get jealous of your power weapon and team kill you for it.

I also do not understand why they altered events from the book either. With all the creative freedom they have they could had tied it in or made it work.

That's the problem. That's what people think. But Halo has ALWAYS been fun-oriented and focused on those hilarious moments where something completely random happens and not about competitive assholes. That's why there's games like Smear the Queer, Halo on Halo, etc. That's why people on Halo would stay together in a multi-team-filled warthog just because it's funny. That's why enemies would teabag at each other on either sides of a chasm or shield door. And that's why any competitive person from CoD would not understand how to have a good time the Halo way.
