The artist is certainly not without skill, but I didn't really like the version.. seemed to lack some sort of "Oompf"

Explain that ludicrous statement.

The only musicians left in the "music" industry with real talent makes the statement far from ludicrous. Apart from orchestral musicians, metal musicians are in the top of their class when it comes to truly skill-driven music.

while metal is my top choice like I said earlier everyone has their own tastes and they might not always be the same, it's how all music evolved an will continue to evolve.

While I understand why simpleminded beer-drinking weapon-collecting viking metal fans would feel at home in Skyrim, I don't like it personally. Nordic setting goes better with some orchestral music like Wagner to me.

Yeah i've been subsrcibed to ERock for awhile now and I was kinda dissapointed with it. I prefer the Sons of Skyrim metal version.

Also can we also not have a music flame war please?

Right, and all the veterans from non metal bands/acts like Brian May, Stevie Vai, Paul McCartney etc (x1000) are not talented musicians no? While I appreciate decent metal I'm not so short sighted as to think it's the only genre with talent. Even some electronic music producers have perfect pitch and an understanding of music that some of your metal heroes can only dream of. Being able to pick strings, thrash drums and play a violin aren't the only forms of "real" music.

Right... and which dreamworld do you live in again? In my opinion, metal is as far away form real music as you can get. And in music, it's all a matter of opinion and taste so a statement like yours is just ridiculous.

I don't like it, I don't think metal style really suits this composition.

as I said in other thread about this song, I love this version :)

ALTHOUGH I prefer more ethnic nordic music behind Skyrim. Like Storm for example. Some songs are purely vocal and are perfect.

Like those 2:

Although these are for later- right now Skyrim's original music hasn't bored me yet :)
