i just walked in and 1-2 hit killed all the witches inside (lvl25 warrior)

I know I have been in dungeons at lvl 15 slicing and dicing undead like a hot knife through butter. Ended up having to raise the difficulty some to make it interesting. We must be more powerful being from Florida.....LOL

....
So now I've been fighting this guy for maybe... 20-25 minutes. Then something awesome happens.
When he gets below 40% health, the game freezes. Always. This is not an isolated incident, it happens every time. Every time I retry killing him, it freezes. It is like his ultimate weapon. When he knows I got him, he freezes Skyrim.
I've never fought an opponent who was literally impossible to kill.
Sorry for the long story, I'm sad.

This is one of the most epic posts ever. It is too hillarious to ignore. I am sorry for your hard work gone kapputt, but hey, it would not be TES game without one of thoese, would it?

Hag's End is one of those dungeons that doesn't level with lower levelled people, try doing it at pre-20 levels, that hag still casts fireball and other high level spells even when you're level 10 or so.

Ok regarding the OP's actual problem (the game freezing when he hurts it sufficiently) rather than the misinterpretation of him being insufficiently strong to kill it -

He may have an animation or behavior that references something near his spawn point. - perhaps the lightning stuff he does. If you have kited him half way through the dungeon and particularly into other load areas then it is quite conceivable that it is crashing when that reference is called. This is a glitch of course and shouldn't happen, but the workaround is probably just to kill him where you found him.

Without knowing what exactly is causing the crash, it is entirely possible, perhaps even probable, that leveling up and reducing the duration of the fight is more than enough to avoid the game crashing issue. Sure, it's possible the bug is just a matter of the boss reaching a certain health level, but there could easily be a variety of other factors involved.

Another option is to repeatedly quick save throughout the fight, and when it crashes, reload to just before the crash and see if you can beat him down farther, or it continues to crash. I'd recommend maintaining a clean save prior to any fight though, on the off chance that quicksaving during the fight corrupts the save file.

If you end up with a save game that will crash upon one more hit on the boss, that's a game file I'm sure Bethesda would be interested in receiving to look for root cause.

It's a named dragon priest - one which does not scale to level. The dungeon is similar - which is why the player (level 10) encountered so many creatures that were more powerful than what they normally run into.
