There's as much of a "right way" to play Skyrim as there is a "right hobby". You play how you want to play. It's a single player game so...

If you want to roleplay, fine
If you want to just play the game like an FPS, fine
If you want to cheat and get everything, fine

What you think is fun is fun.

As it's been brought up, discussed, and bickered about so many times over on this forum and many others- no, there's not a right way to play. There's time-efficient ways to play, perk- and skill-efficient ways, roleplaying ways.. so many different ways to play this game. None of them are right. Likewise, none of them are the wrong way to play the game. Just play the game.

My dual wielding Khajiit with bound swords and light armour is coming nicely. I am loving it and the RP in it is fantastical. I do avoid the skills that would allow you to powerlevel.

Some players that quit playing Skyrim because it's boring definitely have the wrong approach on the whole game. So what ever keeps you interest up, is the right way to play. If that can't be done in any way, then Skyrim ain't a game for you.

Not a bad article, and I agree for the most part. At the end under the heading 'To the Flamers', I read that as 'To the Falmers' and I didn't understand why they would write that until I went back to read it again.

With Skyrim, or with any other role-playing game, the number one rule is to play the role. If you aren't playing the role, then you aren't really playing the game, but are only playing with the game. Just play the role and you're doing it right.

That was an interesting read. I'd say I'm more of a role-gamer, and it was great to hear the other side of the argument without it devolving into moaning and flaming (I'm sure rule-gamers can feel the same way about the other side too!). I agree that it's impossible for it to be all things for everyone, but it does give it a damn good shot. I think most people are willing to overlook relatively minor flaws (lack of depth for role gamers, imbalance for rule gamers) when the overall experience is pretty stellar.

No, just don't play destruction until the patch, or use mods if you have a pc.

Wrong way to play it might be while driving or while your fiancé is waiting for you at the church otherwise I'd say anything goes. :thumbsup:
