Why couldn't they have had it that you had to use the candlelight spell for light and use flame spells to light the candes (for mages) or use torches and fire-starting flint (for non-mages). Lighting the dungeon as you go down it would have made the dungeons a lot more immersive... what are those glowing things in the dark... a monster or a couple of gemstones??
For example the Falmer are blind from spending so much time in the dark... SO WHY ARE THEIR DUNGEONS FILLED WITH LIT CANDLES? :confused:
Of course some dungeons would be lit... ie the ones with bandits in them. Other dungeons would be lit naturally with glowing fungus. But having lit candles in every dungeon kind of reduces the immersion factor.
