Another Perspective

Trying something different here. I created a character (currently level 3 or 4) who doesn't aspire to be the savior of Tamriel. All they wanted to do was become a merchant, save up some coin, by a house, and settle down with a family maybe. Definitely not fight.

So this character will avoid combat as much as possible without sneaking around. I'm going with conjuration as this character will not be skilled with blade, hammer, or fist. Perhaps I'll utilize a destruction scroll as an absolute last resort (but by that point death will only ensue as I'm probably out of magicka/health potions by that point).

Just went through Bleak Falls Barrow with this perspective, and only a familiar and apprentice level zombie spell. It was ROUGH! It took two trips because I had to flee to restock on magicka and health potions before returning to clear it.

This character won't even capture souls... because that's plain rude no matter what it's cast upon.

As long as you don't do any of the main quest, you'll never absorb any dragon souls, or be told you're dragonborn

Great point! Maybe I'll restart this character and see if I can skip the beginning in Riverwood.

Another great point, lol! I was having a blast on my orc 2-hand wielder, crushing everything in my path. I wondered how it would be on the opposite end of it... weak, cowardly... always asking someone else to do the work for me. Heck, you even get to hire people to get their hands dirty for you. I never pick up weapons to help ensure I don't raise a blade to the enemy. Maybe a fist, but good luck with that against... well... anything unless you're a Khajiit.

To add, the character I'm playing will be an Imperial. Of course the reasoning of the execution scene in the beginning is some horrible mistake that I'm sure will be resolved if I go talk to Gen Tullius in person. I'll even side with the Imperials in the Civil War, as that is the safest option for an Imperial to take.

...I'm sad about the brawling though... as picking a fight (or looking for trouble) would not be an option this character would even consider.

Also, I hunted down all the wine in the College because magic and alcohol should not be mixed!

It would be nice if they had a merchant/speechcraft line of quests.
