Does anyone know why OOO might cause a CTD every time the ga

I've tried everything I can think of to get it working on my new system and for some reason nothing is fixing the problem. It seems unlikely its a conflict with another mod since it happens even when I have nothing but the core game running. I've tried every combination and load order I can think of... hopefully someone else might have a thought. I suppose I could try a fresh install again *sigh*. I'm using the OMOD of OOO v1.33.

I was using alternate start revamped, and the game actually worked up until I left one of the starting houses for an exterior cell, at which point it CTDs. Without Alternate Start it CTDs as soon as I start a new game and it tries to load the character generator area.

Sounds like you're missing resources from OOO perhaps so double check the install. For instance, do you get a meshes\armor\javbs folder after the install?

What do you mean with "using the OMOD of OOO v1.33"? 1.33 Complete comes OMOD ready (e.g. with OMOD conversion data) but not pre-packaged as an OMOD. Anyway, check the http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1119240-relz-oscuros-oblivion-overhaul-133/ for download links/info. Also, post your load order, preferably via Wrye Bash but alternatively via OBMM.

I'm using the pre-package OOO_133_Complete.7z (totalling 402mb before conversion) converted to OMOD via OBMM. After conversion it is Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul COMPLETE 1.33 in OBMMs mod folder totaling 396mb in size.

I think it's recommended to skip HrmnsOblivionScriptOptimizationv1.0.esp as it doesn't help much and can be problematic. Also, switch from Living Economy to Enhanced Economy as the former has issues.

Anyway, so it crashes when the jail cell is loading after the opening movie with only:

Oscuro's_Oblivion_Overhaul.esm
Oscuro's_Oblivion_Overhaul.esp

Weird. So I went back and made sure to disable every single mod, and removed everything I could via OBMM, then went back through and reinstalled and enabled everything a little at a time, and it all seems to work now. *ponders* Not that I'm complaining mind you.

Should I try the patch to beta 1.34 also?

Hrmmm... Ok, so I think it might actually be my Archive Invalidation.txt that is causing my problems. I think that some meshes or textures are failing to load and thats whats causing the CTDs. Is there a more surefire way to make sure replacers work?
