Concerned about Daedric Artifacts

Post » Fri Dec 09, 2011 12:53 pm

Hey all, I have been daedric artifact hunting and so far have the: mace, azura star, dawnbreaker, and wabbajack. I am level 34 and have only just learned about and found these artifacts. But I'm kind of disappointed with them. All of my equips are better, excluding azura star. Anyone else wish the daedric artifacts were stronger? Or did I just get them too late in the game?

By the way I am new to the Elder Scroll series, is there a way to upgrade daedric artifacts?

Daedric Artifacts are very powerful and I wouldn't overlook Azura's star that artifact is incredibly powerful if your using enchanted weapons.

You're complaining that the Wabbajack isn't awesome enough? what more could you possibly want? Excluding the obvious usefulness of Azura's Star, the Wabbajack is by far the most awesome Daedric artifact there is. The skeleton key is also pretty awesome, but only plays a brief role in this game.

Volendrung (from the enchantment) would be a godsend for 2-handed warriors.

Mace of Molag Bal is as strong as an ebony mace in terms of base damage. But I agree that they should have unique powers, Maybe even 3 enchants.

Edit: Actually Mace of Molag Bal should be as strong as a daedric mace! It's a weapon given by a daedra lord for goodness sake!

Lack of unique powers is disappointing. Loot is not a strength of Skyrim, that is for sure.

Someday a game will be made with all the good parts of Skyrim but a loot system on par with Diablo 2. Someday.

Sorry, but I figured a title talking about my concern for Daedric Artifacts would inform people who don't wish to learn about them to avoid this topic as the artifacts are being discussed. Also can you upgrade daedric artifacts? Like the maul or the swords?

I dispute the unique powers thing. The Meridia quest, for example, gives a weapon with a very cool and handy unique power. The Mace of Molag Bal can be obtained, as far as I know, at level one, making it insanely useful for low leveled mace-users(few of them as there may be). I've yet to find any others, however.

These items are leveled. If you got them at level one you'd get a much, much weaker version than the one you'd get at lvl 50 (can't be certain of the different level tiers since the CK hasn't been released yet--but they are leveled).

I do like the artifacts I just wish they were great not just good. By any means there are rumors that daedric artifacts can be upgrade but require 100+ smithing, I guess a blacksmith potion needs to be used.

In the Game Guide it states that the Mace of Molag Bal gets stronger when u kill friends.Dunno if this is just a myth or if it's true though.

I don't believe that what you said about it scaling is correct. As far as I know, all Daedric artifacts remain at the same level regardless of when you get them. Perhaps you're just noticing a different damage level because your skill level is different at different points?

stop posting [censored] mate. seriously.

deadric artifacts are NOT LEVELED.

there is NO ck needed to confirm this.
want proof? open the damn console and type "coc qasmoke" and LOOK inside the ALL normal weapons rack. you will find only ONE version of each artifact weapon were others like dragonsbane you will find 5 times or more inside.
