(almost) Winters Court

Post » Fri Oct 09, 2009 3:18 am

I told Alaisiagae that I'd have this out two months ago, but things didn't pan out that way. :P Long story, but I should start being around more often.... hopefully.

First off, the readme-

*****Winters Court***by swrdphantom*****Description***This is a small plug-in that adds an icy tomb with two new weapons, two shields, a ring, and a few decorative items to Solstheim. The tomb is located at Isinfier Plains Region -25, 21 and is guarded by a large, but harmless frost atronach. There is a partially hidden chest that contains a shield version of the staff along with a two-handed version.***Morrowind and Bloodmoon are required.*****Installation***To install, follow these simple instructions-Place the icons into your icons folder (usually C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Morrowind\Data Files\Icons), then place the meshes into your meshes folder (usually C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Morrowind\Data Files\Meshes) and the textures into your textures folder (usually C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Morrowind\Data Files\Textures). Then place the .esp file into your Data files folder. I'm assuming that you already know how to install a mod, but it's better to be safe than sorry. *****Conflicts***None that I am aware of, but I only use a handfull of mods that add anything to Solstheim. If there are any, please let me know.*****Credits and permissions***Sword, staff, and table banner meshes, textures, and icons made by swrdphantom using Blender and GIMP.Shield mesh and textures made by swrdphantom with the exception of the sheild grip which was made by Bethesda. Icon by swrdphantom.Tapestry mesh and textures made by Bethesda with the exception of the 'fabric' which was made by swrdphantom.Cave entrance and roundtable meshes by Bethesda, I just used different textures (texture replacers will vary how they appear).***You may retexture the meshes if you wish and release them in a mod so long as you give me credit. *****Thanks to-***The Morrowind mod community.Bethesda for the game and Construction Set.Blender and GIMP for being the tools that I used.*****Contact information***email can be sent to swrdphantom@hotmail.com or you can PM me on TESF (The Elder Scrolls Forums). Now known as Bethesda Game Studio Forums. Peace.

Just out of curiosity, why did you make the Atronach guards harmless? The loot you describe sounds like it would be worth fighting through real Atronachs to get.

 I had originally planned for a slightly more elaborate story to go with this, but to get this out while still the appropriate season, I kinda rushed at the end and decided to leave the atronach harmless.... although now that I think of it if I hadn't mentioned that it was harmless, I'm sure most people would have attacked it on sight...
Oh well, there's always a chance for updates....

Thanks, swrdphantom  BTW, it's up on http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=8273!

Thanks for the update, I added the link to the original post.

Yep, I'm back now... or should be. :P

.... That doesn't ring any bells, so I must not have read that comic book, or it's been so long since I've read it that I don't remember. Anyways, no results yet, but I keep trying.
