I think this is self-explanatory. I look around and see nearly EVERY thread include a poll. And they usually have questions that are either too broad to receive an accurate survey study, or they're simply used for questions that are too complex or broad to be simplified into polls in the first place.

Discuss if you like, but this was more of something I wanted to get across to folks: please, PLEASE discuss, but don't feel as if a poll is necessary to that discussion. It's only going to distract and inevitably splinter those involved in the discussion.

This is not specific to Skyrim. If people want to include a poll, fine as long as it is balanced there will be no problems.

A topic with a poll however is not immune to be closed, and a topic about polls with a poll isn't either.
