Should We Wait?

Post » Fri Oct 09, 2009 2:52 pm

I live in Asia and we've not received the infamous first update/patch, which suppose made things a little worse. I've clocked in well over 10 hours of gameplay, I think I'm halfway through the storyline campaign, but I'm afraid to push onwards after reading about the save data/dlc cancel glitch. Don't get me wrong I've seen my fair share of bugs while playing, although nothing too drastic as of yet (knocks on wood). So my question is should we wait until they actually fix these issues with a better patch, or risk it and continue playing?

I wouldn't do the guest to sort out the gouls, "Come fly with me" I believe. From what I've read around here it looks like there is some percentage of the population where that update did not fix the bug.

I would wait on uploading the patch. It made it so I can't play at all now. If I try to use VATS or try to fast travel, the whole XBox freezes up. =( Yeah I expected bugs when Fallout New Vegas was released since Fallout 3 had quite a few when it was released, but never to cause an entire gaming system to freeze up like that! It's really sad. I can't play at all... and I have no work today!!! =( haha. So yeah. I'd wait on getting that patch until they have one to patch their patch... =P 'Cause otherwise, there's a good chance you won't be able to play until they do fix it or send out a solution to HOW to fix it.

I never had any problems with FO3, and New Vegas hasn't froze on me yet, but there is a lot of weird glitchy sht that goes on in this one. Right now I'm standing outside the power tower building and Old lady grayson is sitting outside at an invisible table and chair with her dog. Needless to say she is not supposed to be here. I feel like I'm looking at Old Lady Grayson's ghost.

Terrain doesn't quite match up, I've killed 6-8 scorpions without a fight because they were stuck in the dirt upside or backwards (which was very nice when it was early and the desert was deadly). Great game that should have been delayed another month for the holidays and further fixing and development.

Yeah I agree. They should have waited a little longer. They pushed the release date once. They should have again. It would have been disappointing, but I'd rather have a game that lets me play. =(
