Bethesda please respond to this request

Alright Bethesda Ive seen some pretty impresive NON pervertide or humorous mods for skyrim up already, I was wondering if you guys please let us have some for the console. It would be your choice wich ones we get so for sure you know that we cant get cheap mods that make us like gods or something, In my opinion having mods on the pc is what makes this games so great and it feels unfair and boring that us who cant afford a gaming computer cant enjoy this amazing game to the fullest :/... so guys please give me an answer as to wether iam gonna be able to play this game with or wothout mods on console :) Oh and it could be in the dlc format or an ingame download system some games have now like call of duty elite or halo waypoint. thanks for reading if you actually did :)

FREE content for console games? But that would destroy the industry.

What is wrong wth everyone? those are all stupid ideas, this is not a co-op kind of game in any way and anyone requests anything the game doesnt already have is stupid and all IAM asking for is something that ALL PC GAMERS LIKE YOURSELF ALREADY HAVE AND IT IS UNFAIR THAT WE ARE NEGLECTED THESE GAME ENCHANCING MODS just because we dont have comps good enough to run skyrim, or atleast I dont, Anyone against this is just an ignorant hypocrite...

I could swear to you guys right now that EVERY ONE voting against it is someone who already has a mod for this game on pc and is a hypocrite

I'm all for it, but I doubt it will actually happen, its not up to Bethesda, its up to Sony and M$, and I doubt they'll go through with it.

While it would be nice to have some of the mods that PC users have (like improved UI, more hotkeys, more marriag options, etc.), multiplayer would be stupid.

Do you have any idea of the kind of requirements and resources it takes to publish stuff to consoles? The kind of liability involved?

And of course that is if you can even get around Microsoft and Sony allowing it. If one company starts offering mods for their games or lots of free DLC, then that puts pressure on other companies to follow suit, and most aren't going to like it.

Want mods for your favourite game on your console? Don't go to the game devs, go to the console devs and yell at them till they work out ways to encourage it. Your voice will go a lot further for the cause there than it will here.

(Or save up for a nice computer. I'm running Skyrim wonderfully off $600 in core hardware.)

Multiplayer is for call of duty fan boys and was never suggested here anyway :/

Omg dood why is there always something against this...(its not your fault iam just saying) bethesda has no limits they are GAMING GODS AND COULD MAKE THERE OWN MODS MIMICING THE OTHER MODS if they wanted to and that way there would be less problems and people have problems with how they do stuff then until they make a game as good as skyrim then they can start getting opinions on what they do but tiil then bethesda shouldnt care about them...

You obviously don't seem to understand some very basic things about economics, software downloads, and the video game industry. This isn't as simple as your fps gaming experience would make it appear. Sony and Microsoft have to apporve everything and they won't do that unless they make lots of $$$ and there are absolutely no problems. Also, it's very likely that modders could have legal grounds to sue if the were not paid. It's not going to happen. Period.

If you really want mods, get a job, save up your money, and buy a pc. If you're too young to work, then you're just going to have to wait. Bethesda can't legally create mods (other than a few DLCs) and nothing you say is going to change that. Skyrim is excellent without mods anyway so you really don't have much to complain about.

Not likely to have mods on console.

If you had been following the modding scene in Morrowind and Oblivion,
there are mods/utilities that are just too complex to be used on a console. Eg: OBSE / Wyre Bash

The last thing we want is for the console folks to come to the forum and blast the modder for not making
a certain mod easier to use on a console. They've got more things to worry about then compatibility.

Take it as a lesson, the Elder Scrolls games are NOT your typical console games and they play much better on a PC.
Besides, getting a PC / laptop to play Skyrim ain't too expensive anyways.

I imagine they could release a bundle of mods that they endorse in the form of a DLC.

It's not likely though.

Do you know what the term "Liability" means?

Also, why would they put any effort into bringing mods to consoles? They can do it for PC because it costs them next to nothing to repackage existing tools and throw them to the community. What benefit does it bring to their console market? Where they sold how many units to how many people who barely have a clue what a mod is?
