Forced Autosave Problem

So I just tried to play New Vegas after what I believe is the most recent patch, only to find a new problem. I saved my game right after exiting Vault 22 with the quicksave option. Now, when I load ANY saved game, I am stuck in a forced autosave loop. What I mean by this is that the game loads, then instantly does an autosave. The screen comes back up, and it autosaves again. and again. and again. I can move, but every 3 seconds or so the game is autosaving, so I cant play, and I cant move very far. I've gone back to my first game and tried reloading from there, same problem. I've gone in and turned off all the autosave options in setting, and it continues to do an autosave every 3 seconds or so. Anyone else having this problem? Anyone else know how to fix it?

As of right now, the game is utterly unplayable for me, and I'm getting more than a little annoyed at Bethesda.

As a note, I just tried to start a new game. The problem persists, and starts right from game startup while Doc Mitchell is speaking to you.

I had to give up autosave two patches ago and had to give up quicksave this time around. You need to go to your savegame folder in your documents file and delete all the saves you see there (leave an empty folder) because they're all corrupted now. Then restart the game and when you get to the start screen go into options, game play and disable both autosave and quicksave, They were always wonky anyway and now they're downright treacherous. You can download other save game approaches from Nexus but I'm not sure if they will work safely with the new patch. For now just do manual saves.
