I've been playing a Nord in Skyrim, and I'm having tons of fun. However, I'd like to try other races and different skill specializations. Before making another character, I've looked up in the Internet if there were any problems, such as getting my older character erased. It seems that this has happened to many people, where they have tried to make a new character, and their old one has been deleted. Does anybody know of a safe way to make another character in my PS3?, because, logically, I wouldn't like my Nord to vanish.

those idiots were relying on autosaves.

If you make a manual save, you will not lose your old character. Im on ps3 with two diff characters.

I have 5 different characters and no problems....just make new saves

Make a save for your character and dont save over it.

I heard that there's a bug on PS3 which can erase your manual saves if you make a new character.

If I were you I'd play it safe and back up your current saves onto a USB stick or something - I assume that's possible on PS3?
