Radio & Sneaking

Post » Fri Dec 09, 2011 2:46 pm

I very rarely play a sneaky character. I prefer entering a room with all the subtlety of a screaming Christmas tree made of hot laser death. However, I decided to give sneaky a try just to see what it's like. I have a question though. Does playing my Pipboy radio alert enemies to my presence like the Pipboy light does?

Lol! Ok thanks! :D After a bit of testing I think you are right. I can't see much of a difference in monster reaction either way from the little bit I've messed with it. Although one time a feral ghoul somehow sensed me while I was sneaking in the dark with no light on from behind a closed door but I'll chalk that one up to the left cheek sneak I was trying to float at the time. :shifty:

Best way to tell is, wait for the song with "my spurs Jingle jangle" in it, then sneak up on a Mutant, then sit & wait a few seconds, then if the Mutant starts tapping its feet & mumbles " jingle jangle" they can hear it

It's unfortunate that we cannot inflict some JOHNNY GUITAR on our enemies. We should be able to put them to sleep with it (or drive them insane, if they have heard it as often as we have).
