WHy are Werewolves so.... Weak seriously..

I think the problem is that the werewolf isn't a tank, yet it's built like one which makes it counter intuitive and maybe we are supposed to use howl all the time and hit and run tactics. Though I bet it's still a gamble feeding on someone when you're used the howl on the rest to regain a bit of health when you're running low because of the fixed animation for feeding.

Also, I think it wouldn't be so bad if there a few non-beast form benefits other than 100% disease resistance. It would have been nice to have a strength increase in human form, but not to the extent of the beast form.

i covered howl. I can take way more hits as a human and im light armored. i can also take being nuked as a wolf i get nuked i instantly die.

As a human you're armored, likely enchanted, and likely have some nice perks for wearing full armor sets. As a werewolf, you're completely naked, so any health-boosting or protection enchantments will be gone. You may have some protection against normal weapons, but not magic or silver/daedric/enchanted weapons (which you may be extra-weak to), and you may be weak to fire, too... it's difficult to tell exactly what your protections/vulnerabilities are without the CK, but that's the basics of how it usually works. Beast form gives a slight health boost, but not much to counter being completely unarmored if you're not leveling health (so master difficulty and high-level enemies will be extremely dangerous).

Again, yes, there could very well be ways to re-balance it so you don't need to spec into health like a warrior to play as a werewolf at high levels in high difficulty, but it would need to be done carefully. As mentioned, my mid-level (about 25) mage (who only upped health once, never upped stamina, and has no one-handed skill to speak of) has no trouble taking out normal enemies. If you buff werewolves too much, you'll turn them into walking gods at lower levels or lower difficulties.

i am level 30 on novice difficulty and silver hand guys with 2h silver swords kill me

Werewolves are weak to silver, and 2H weapons are naturally deadly. How much health do you have?

Definitely agree with OP.

My character uses a 2H weapon and wears heavy armor, which makes him somewhat though and hard hitting. But in werewolf shape I feel like he's naked with dual daggers, like, iron daggers. Heck, my power attack seems to do as much as a standard attack with my axe. Sure, feeding heals you, but when you generally get killed in 2 to 5 shots, you're pretty much screwed against multiple enemies.

The whole fast running pack mule and disease immunity are nice, but in combat my human form can do pretty much the same things, and do them better. Much better.

That's a little puzzling, but I'll probably get a mod or something if I want to actually use it someday.

I'm surprisingly pretty powerful in Werewolf form thanks to my high HP and the Avoid Death perk.

Everyone who thinks werewolfs are powerful are low level, they are amazing and overpowered in early game and fall out when gear becomes necessary for combat. similar to Destruction magic.

First time I transformed into a werewolf I was psyched. Then I immediately got one-shotted from full health by a single Silver Hand's arrow. Never used it in a fight again. I can take on three Silver Hands in human form at once, I can't even manage a single opponent as a werewolf. That's just not right.

I'm level 40 which I wouldn't really say was that low of a level, but yeah it's certainly starting to feel weaker and weaker I guess.
