Yeah, I noticed that too. I believe there's a tree stump in the first village you come across after you escape your execution at the beginning. I thought it was pretty funny, but in retrospect it's a bit odd since you can collect Butterflies, Dragonflies etc, but not ants. You can only look at them.

Agreed. I like how much has gone into the environment in this game, it's cool.

Do all tree stumps have ants? I've seen a few like that and didn't see any.

I did the same thing the first time I saw a lightning bug, or torchbug, I guess. Not for an hour, but a good five, ten minutes. I didn't even notice I could catch it. I was just like, "Ooohhh shiny."
