My hatred for the Aldmeri dominion

Post » Fri Dec 09, 2011 10:45 pm

The one thing i have taken away from skyrim is my utter hatred for the Aldmeri dominion. I cant help it, evertime i see those smug gets patrolling the roads of skyrim i cut there lives short. Sadly i just dont feel my actions are helping the empire in any way . Its just a shame iam not able to take this hatred to the next level.

I want a DLC where we can kill leaders of those bastards. I never really thought i could hate snob elves in a TES game more than i hated that one house...(i think it was redoran..) in Morrowind.

After butchering three of their patrols, they put a hit out on me, and actively sent Justiciars after me.

BIG MISTAKE.

Summerset Isle is now a smoldering crater.

We should get all those Black-Briars and Altmers, throw 'em all in a capsule, and let them insult each other to death in space.

Yeah, I can't stand them either. I kill them whenever I see them. Then I resurrect them as zombies.

I know how you feel. I have the same resentment to the Empire!

I love when a game can muster up legitimate emotions for fictional characters.

Although I do wish there was a bit more expansion on the Dominion. Would have been nice to have some kind of Altmer Stronghold with a lot of slavery related quests and such.

Uh, Hammerfell is already half in the hands of the Domonion, Morrowind is in shambles after Red Mountain blew up, and the Dominion already defeated the Empire in a War while Skyrim and High Rock were still part of it.

The Aldmeri Dominion is the single most powerful entity on Tamriel at this point, and only the Empire stands any chance of defeating it.

And hey, there are totally good Altmer. What about the Psijic monk who snubs the Thalmore observer at the college? That was pretty cool... :D

Yea, i only joined the stormcloaks because the imperials were, in a way, on the thalmor's side. Although the imperials are really just stuck in the center. :sadvaultboy: I felt sad when
Spoiler
i had to attack whiterun
, though there was a quest which led me to a dungeon full of thalmor, i loved slaughtering the whole lot of them :celebration:

I kill Thalmor any time I see them. In town, out, they all drop dead at my hands. Especially that bastard in markarth who wanted me to rat out a fellow nord.

I don't think the empire has given up. Maybe they are just waiting for the right time to strike back. I do hope the empire pulls through. Hopefully.

I love the Thalmor.

I've always wished you could actually join them on your Altmer character.

Imagine.

Actually you fell for the Thalmore's plan. They deliberately set up a civil war in Skyrim to destroy the province, because once it's at war with the empire they can destroy Skyrim and then Cyrodiil, instead of facing their combined might.

Do they actually do that? I've killed 2 or 3 Justicar patrols now and so far there have been no repercussions.

I'm there with you on that one. I felt bad attacking Imperials at first as well because I've always liked the Empire. Though now it is starting to appear that the Imperials are simply puppets of the Aldmeri Dominion so now I see no difference between the High Elves and the Imperials. I kill them all.

Hammerfall is successfully rebelling against the Dominion.

And the Dominion never 'won'. It was a brutal stalemate, and both sides agreed to a peace treaty, because they'd lose thousands upon thousands of lives if they continued the war. So, the Empire is slowly building up it's power to strike back and drive the Dominion out.

It truly wasn't that bad. The ban on Talos worship wasn't being enforced too badly until Ulfric pulled his [censored] and started a bloody civil war, in which thousands have no doubt died.

Tip: On the Western coast near Solitude, there's an Aldmeri fort there filled with those vile beasts. I silently executed the lot of them, but had some messy encounters in which stealth was not an option.

I actually haven't joined them yet.

In fact, my main character followed the Stormcloak in the beginning.

Edit: I've also been to Windhelm several times on two characters, and never been to Solitude.

When you read the book "The Great War" it becomes clear that even though a peace treaty was signed, the dominion basicly got everything it originally asked for from the empire.

Yea, there is a rebellion in Hammerfell, and a lot of the Bosmer and Altmer are also trying to fight back against the Thalmore in their home provinces, but it's still pretty much evenly matched with the Empire.

Also the Thalmore have a treaty with Elseweyr which is no longer really part of the Empire as a result.
