I don't know about you, but i find the spell transmute from alteration pretty darn useful, especially to get some money fast, the bad side of it is that if you want to transmute iron into silver and you keep using it, it will turn an alredy existing silver into gold, the spell gives preference to silver instead of iron if you have both of then.

Does anyone feel the same way? I personally would love some kind of tweak/mod that would make the spell favorite iron at all times intead of silver, that way if you want to make silver mostly you can just keep using it, and if you want to make gold, just drop the loot of iron you have in you bag after you trasnsmutated what you wanted into silver.

Yeah, this kinda annoyed me too. Good job it mostly doesn't matter, but still.

I just find the need to keep opening your bag and droping the silver or into the ground to keep making silver a stupid thing... i mean i should be able to make more silver without the need to keep trowing the ones i have away.

Sounds like it shouldve been two different spells...
Transmute Iron, Transmute Silver. Novice and Apprentice?

I am not sure I see any purpose in keeping the silver instead of transmuting that to gold as well.

I mean you cannot craft anything from the silver other than jewelry and jewelry crafted from the gold is worth a lot more.

The thing is, you mostly find materials to make silver rings/amulets gold is harder to come by, if i do have the materials to make a gold necklace of flawless ruby or maybe diamond i will transmute it no problem, but what i have toons of are rubys and etc wich can only be used along with silver.

It probably wasn't play tested, just a fluff spell thrown in so they could claim they have more spells and didn't dumb down magic.
