I have been told that the main quest is a bit disappointing and that it doesn't feellike anything epic plus is very short , so I am wondering how a quest could continue that quest from its end making it a more epic and great? Coudl be possible? What are your ideas and sugestions?
While the antagonist has been defeated there are still a large number of awakened dragons. I see a few ways it could be continued (note, #1 and #2 would block #3, and vice versa).
1. Rebuild the Blades. This is already partially supported by the game, and I haven't done these quests. However I could see a further expansion that involves establishing a clandestine network across the province and perhaps making secret diplomatic ties with the Penitus Oculatus. Of course the Thalmor still consider them enemies so you couldn't arrange for them to be re-legitimized as part of the Empire.
2. Slay the remaining dragons. This wold probably be coupled with rebuilding the Blades, but you could be sent out to kill off a number of important, powerful dragons. Perhaps there's even some magic you can seek out that will undo Alduin's resurrections in one fell swoop.
3. Support Paarthurnax. The leader of the Greybeards wants to promote the Way of the Voice among the remaining dragons. Instead of killing those important, powerful dragons perhaps you could convincing them to support the Way of the Voice, disposing of those you can't reason with. If you kill too many the dragons disperse and Paarthurnax has failed, if you succeed they become peaceful (although it wouldn't surprise me if most still depart).
4. Remove Thalmor influence from Skyrim. This also couples well with rebuilding the Blades, although it is also compatible with helping Paarthurnax. While a true assault on the Thalmor is outside the scope (and geography) of the game I could see taking out the Thalmor power bases and effectively driving them out of the province.
