So every time a dragon attacks a town and I slay it the all the guards gather around the bones looks at me and goes "I don't know what to say!"

In my head I'm like how about a f*cking THANK YOU?

Why should they thank you? There was like ten of them shooting the dragon. They don't have the survivability you do, and they lack the ability to quicksave. They put more than you do on the line every time.

After me and the town guards take out a Dragon:

"My cousin's out fighting dragons and what do I get? Guard duty."

Apparently all the guards in Skyrim has been shot in the knees at least once.

Standing over a dragon corpse the other day, the guard next to me went "pssst, I know who you are.... hail Sithis".
That was the coolest thing ever

I get attacked at the College of Winterhold a lot, and people there barely seem to acknowledge the dragon afterward. Dragon swoops down, and doesn't even get a chance to breathe fire/frost before I and the other mages nuke it to death. Then everyone just says normal stuff and goes back to their rooms. lol. It's like, "Dragon? *yawn*..."

Was leaving Whiterun a little while ago... Dragon suddenly swooped in roaring and stuff. I flipped my sh*t (this was dragon #3 for me) excited as could be. Surprisingly noone at the meadery seemed to impressed. They continued going about their business as usual with the only excitement occurring when I accidentally scrolled past a lady with my bow drawn (because I was aiming at the dragon that was trying to incinerate us!!!).

I guess they knew best though because the dragon eventually just flew into the side of a mountain and disappeared. :unsure2:

Maybe you're not getting his full statement....later, at the baracks the guards are talking..."And dude, I HAD it! I was gonna kill that dragon then this GD PC runs up and steals my kill! Do you BELIEVE that?!? Man! I did NOT know what to say! And that smug player just stood there with this stupid grin on his face like, "Why, howabout say thank you? hyuk hyuk hyuk" I swear, screw kicking the Thalmor out! Kick players out! "

Looping set phrases are one of the big problems of Skyrim. And to think it's not even a bug but a weird design choice. The NPC acknowledgements are every bit as reetorded as Oblivion's.
