As I'm sure many dedicated fans of the series know, Umbra has been one of the best swords throughout Morrowind and Oblivion. Upon purchasing of the game, I was excited to find the whereabouts of Umbra, but it's clearly been avoiding me for 30+ hours. Does anyone know where it is? Or if it's even in the game?

P.S. You probably shouldn't turn this into a thread about how Umbra isn't the best sword blah blah blah, my ego is the size of an elephant, so, by default, you're wrong if you disagree with me.

I've never acquired Umbra, however since no one has found it yet I'd say its not in the game.

Have not found it after 62hours.

I'm happy it ain't in the game. I would sharpen that sword all the way to legendary.. It would probably be like 200+ DMG at that point considering how powerful it was/could be in Oblivion.

Umbra is not in the game. Been confirmed via strategy guide/UESP/No one has found it. Not in the game.

Umbra was destroyed during the gap between Oblivion and Skyrim. Read the books.

haha, in oblivion I went for the masque of clavicus vile instead of umbra, the masque looked sixy on my char O_O

Im glad it isnt in the game, if you keep reusing the same artifacts over and over it gets boring.

Umbra is having a break, see it again next game.

I haven't finished the novels, but I know Umbra is key part of the plot of those.

It doesn't matter if you gave Clavicus the sword or not, official canon says you did.

Just like official canon says you didn't kill Vivec, and official canon says you turned into Sheogorath.

Umbra is not in. A simple wiki search would have given you that answer.

There's an orc looking for a warriors death near riverwood (was for me), a reference to umbra in morrowind.
