I have like 6 and I'm pretty sure they add 6 unnecesary weight to my total, what's so special about them that i cant drop them?

and an even better question is how did i get 6 in the first place?

They are for quests. I picked one up and tried the quest, still stuck in inventory and the quest will not finish.

I think the amulet has to be picked up after accepting it.

But a bit off topic, does anyone know the ID for the Talos Amulets?

I wanted to remove it using 'remove item [XXXXXXXX] [X]' but I don't know its ID. I did try 'removeallitems' and it kept a few items in my inventory including that damn amulet. But then I just did 'showinventory' to find the id for the next item and remove it but when I got to what I think was the amulet when I tried 'showinventory' it just said "Bad Editor ID" or something like that.

Must be another bug as I have 2 of them and have also been wondering why I can't rid of them. I haven't been able to figure out which quest they are used for yet either. This game is incredible but I am definitely looking forward to the next patch that will hopefully fix a few of these bugs.

Anyways there is some girl who talks to you, complains about her mom not going to the church anymore since her husband was killed and she wants you to talk to her.

Then the mom tells you to get her husband's Talos Amulet.

Yup and because I picked it up early its perma stuck.

I noticed allot of quests will glitch like this. I'm almost afraid to explore more because of it.

The .removeallitems has NEVER removed quest items from inventory.
One needs to use the removeitem command.

There seem to be 3 types of Amulets of Talos, 2 of which are for different quests.
Quest: Raerek's Inscribed Amulet of Talos and Ogmund's Amulet of Talos
Non Quest: Amulet of Talos

Surprises, me if they did not have a catchall in there like the one for the barrow the innkeeper or the Jarl's Wizard send ya too.
When I met the fella for that quest, I had a dialog option which in essence said, "been there, done that" which handed him a quest item.
Quest ones are named so odds are your quests are looking for one of the two specifics named here, not the generic item.

I've had two quests bug out because I looted a dungeon before getting the quest for it. Luckily I'm on a PC so I manually progressed the quests from the "get item" stage to "deliver item" stage and it's fixed.

Wish I could do that on xbox.

Anyone know if bethesda knows about this?

I'm getting more and more quest items for quests I can not finish, all because I find them before the quest. :banghead:
