Quick question about Vault 22 and the "effects" of g

Hey guys,

I found my way to Vault 22 last night collecting parts for the BOS and was wondering something -- does going into the vault and breathing the air actually infect you with the spores that are supposedly being pumped into there? Once I figured out what was going on from the journal entries I equipped the Rebreather for RP purposes... lol. But from a gameplay perspective at least do you get infected? I know there's another quest related to going there but haven't done it yet (supposedly dealing with nuking the spores) but want to get some thoughts.

Thanks!

Don't believe so, and if you did the only effect would probably be a perk.

The entry mentions that ghouls are immune I think, and the researcher is a ghoul, so good for her but what about your character? Might have been cool if they did something with this. I don't remember an end-slide mentioning Vault 22. Always thought it'd be cool if you gave the data to the scientist guy, if he ended up turning into a fungus creature or the whole of McCarran base got over run by plants, but nope.

As you're only there for a day, in RP I'd say it not an issue.

Gameplay, theres no effect that I've noticed.

lol, I thought the same thing when I first did that too. Kept expecting some effect ala radiation to start in on me that I'd have to find some special npc who had the cure at the end of it, or something. :)

But nope...no gameplay effect at all.
