Female Walk and Stance

Post » Fri Dec 09, 2011 8:53 pm

Okay...so I was happy to hear that when the female put on armor she took on the male stance/run/walk. But for some reason my female nord still walks all prissy and glitter with iron armor on? Is this a glitch or not? Do only certain armors activate the stance change?

Not sure.
My female Orc had a very masculine walk, even during the tutorial, while wearing light armor.

Thank you for saying this. Like you, I'm not thrilled with the female animations for my character.

The the walk is egghh, the stance as you say is prissy but the run is the worst. I just assumed B gave guys what they wanted. If you check the Oblivion mod forum, you'll see any number of female walk animations that make female characters look like streetwalkers (IMO).

I'm almost to the point of playing a guy.

But the thing is when you put on steel armor she walks a LOT better. But it's not working for iron.

Hmm . . . I haven't got to steel yet, so I can't comment. But from my experience modding for Ob, then I'd have to say there's a pathing issue (e.g. bug) to the wrong animation. Unless Bethesda did so intentionally, but why would they? (But this explains the Jarl of Whiterun's Housecarl, whose animations are so much cooler than my character's).

May I ask: is the running improved with steel?

If it's just a pathing issue, I'd see a mod coming as soon as the Creation Kit is released.

My female Nord is wearing Steel armor at the moment. As far as I am able to tell she still has the same "swishy" walk she started the game with. I can't really say I've noticed any difference since upgrading to Steel.

Hi, Pseron. :) Thanks for the warning.

It's not a game-breaker for me, but I'll be looking for a fix as soon as Creation Kit is released. Of all the things Bethesda did right in the game, this isn't something I'll be crying over.

No way??? Then why does lydia walk like man? This could be game breaking for me (at least playing a female) because of the totally [censored] clipping and walk.
