I keep losing followers

Post » Sat Dec 10, 2011 1:47 am

I'm not a very good friend in Skyrim :(

Lydia - Dead by accidental swing of a mace

Uthgerd(sp?) dead from enemies swarming us, I wasn't even there so I know I didn't kill her

Marcurio - Lost deep in a Dwemer ruin, never to return to me

I has a sads. Oh well, new follower! Maybe Mjoll this time. Or that Argonian from the mining camp!

Lol, that's quite a list. Well, I quick save often in case I do kill my follower by accident. That way I can reload if I make one of those accidents. However, when your follower dies without you knowing and you just continue, there's not much you can do with that...poor J'zargo...I looked everywhere! I couldn't even find a trace of his body.

I now have some dark elf priest of Mara that sounds like Buck from Ice Age 3.

Yeah for continuity's sake I usually don't save and go back for them. I had the woman who's mother was trying to become a Hagraven, and I think she stays where I found her. She has my thieves guild armor still.

I really hate how stupid it is that if you use magic cloaks your allies take damage, same thing with chain lighting i mean wtf? Was Bethesda drunk when they made AoE damage from you hit your allies?

umm...thats what an AoE spell does, that is teh drawback that comes with being able to hit multiple targets at once

But what about cloaks?... i mean i can't stop then from coming towards me when i use it... at least they shoul not get close to you when you use then, like, the cloak triggers and action on then or something... but the AoE ones, I just can't forgive ._., i mean it's not like i have a choise with then moving in when the AoE is beinh casted ( or the chain lighting jumping over to my allie intead of the enemy).

Wow you lost Marcurio. That's hard to do. I have him in elven armor and constantly give him better weapons and with his magic, he always heals himself.

i'll give you the cloaks and AoE spells when they are being cast, the AI should tell your companians to not get in the way, but chain lightnig is jsut that, it will chain to any being near-by, and if your companina is already at he enemy you should not use an AoE
