Morrowind > Skyrim - Item Placement

Post » Sat Dec 10, 2011 7:35 am

Guys I have a bone to pick with Bethesda. Something they did perfectly in Morrowind but completely s*** in Oblivion and Skyrim.

When you go to drop something it always drops 3 feet in front of you. Never where you are looking. So if I want to place something on a shelf I have to drop it on the floor and pick it up and move it. Why can't it just drop where I'm looking?

I would love to be able to just look at a surface and have my items be placed there and not above or beside it. It makes decorating so much harder this way.

I'd rather have it this way as well, also a way to actually rotate an object on all axis.

I doubt it too. But you know what. It's worth a shot. I mean how hard can it be to release an update that includes bug fixes and changes where the items drop.

Well...I mean yeah I would but....I'm not really gonna complain about the way it currently is though (still haven't played Morrowind so I'm not gonna vote...)

Thought this was going to be a thread about the static loot placement in dungeons.

As did I.

I'm generally fine with loot dropping as it is. What I'd say it should be is if you hold the drop keep it just instantly goes into hovering move it around mode, I'd also like a way to silently drop my stuff.(almost got ate today when dropping crap revealed my position.)
