Great game - but this would help. A lot.

It's too easy. Even on Master. Why?

1. Traps. They do *nothing*. No matter what difficulty level. Couldn't trap damage have been included in the difficulty level?

2. MQ. It's too easy. Dragons are too easy. It's set way, way low. It could have been set at a higher difficulty, and then only scaled once you had scaled past a certain point.

3. Smithing/crafting. Its best avoided completely as it's game-breakingly easy to use to advantage.

How about this stuff being incorporated in the next patch, at least at Master level? We'd have a *truly* great game then.

cheers.

Quest depth and dialogue depth wouldn't hurt AT ALL either.

I definitely agree about the traps. It is sad that there is no downside because of health regeneration. There is nothing to fear from traps. Dragons are also far too easy. I finally ran into my first Ancient Dragon and it gave me a run for my money but still far too easy to kill due to their limited number of attacks and ability to cope with multiple attackers. They really need an AoE knockdown or something.
I really liked smithing but I don't know about abuse. I never used any items or spells that buffed smithing above 100, so none of my stuff is upgraded beyond that. Not sure if it is making the game too easy. I still get destroyed in melee by bandits with two handed weapons and such. I am kind of squishy though.

Oh - and reduce the sheer volume of healing (and other) potions lying around everywhere. Make master difficulty a real challenge for us - Like Daggerfall used to be. Remember how rare potions were in dungeons? The popularity of Dark Souls shows a lot of people like a serious challenge. Give that to us, just as an *option*.

Please.

As far as difficulty goes im alright with it for the most part. Although admitably; the dragons could use some difficulty increase. Elder dragons would ordinarily be tough for me (i'm lvl 37), even with my trusty servant; Mr.Dremora Lord. but due to the 'Call Dragon' shout, they can be stupidly easy, as Odhaviing (prolly mispelled that) doesnt leave until all enemies in the area are wiped out. For traps... they used to do a lot of damage and some- like that swinging spiked door trap- still do, but the others dont do much. on the other hand most of those ARE traps that reset themselves so that they can be triggered again so i suppose that there's a give and take there.

For higher difficulty the different playstyles would have to be a bit balanced, they are very far from it. You want a challenge ... go solo destro mage, no crafting, conjuration, illusion.
