Getting bored after lvl35ish

Post » Fri Dec 09, 2011 10:38 pm

SO I'm level 39 now and ever since 35ish I've been bored of this game. I dont think blasting through the main quest before hitting lvl 20ish helped, but anyway now I can hop about blowing everything up in seconds and picking up quests / finishing old ones is pretty boring now because gone are the days of carefully strategizing a new dungeon and i just jump into somewhere, paralyze everyone and spam fireballs till every last thing is dead.

What I want? A big end game area with fixed level epic creatures like lvl 50-80 or whatever that I couldn't scratch yet. Then I have something to work towards.

But at the moment the only motivation for playing is to be able to destroy everybody in my path just a couple of seconds quicker.

Has anyone else found this problem of lack of 'end game' stuff? or have i just missed a particular area or something? Mage's guild was fun, stormcloaks was too easy after main and mages, and dark brotherhood was a walk in the park after all these.

Help me! ='(

use weaker weapons, start a new game playing another 'class', do some exploring, fire random frenzy spells on npcs (better save before doing those unless you want to eradicate entire cities).

You could always start a new character...play a different race/build, complete quests differently, etc.

yeh i guess starting a new character is the only way to go from here. The thing stopping me is the amount of time and thought put into this character, its hard to just start from scratch again

Look out of the computer screen and discover there is a real life world.
Then find a new hobby other than games.
Chat with your parents and grandparents, or children if you have any.
Come back anytime when you are bored of real life.

You start another character and realize that there is no end. Ever.

What to do if Skyrim is getting boring:
Turn up difficuty. My level 50 character did have a decent challenge against the boss level enemies at expert.
Start over with new race and play a different way.
Go explore.
Roleplay,

Jst of the topp of my head.

I'm sure it is real. I get dreams of real life when I sleep on my Breezehome bed.

If your on the PC play with console codes (not to advance) but summon 10 Dragons to fight 20 Mammoths!

I keep getting dlashbacks to wow playing skyrim, but with a tad more realistic way of approach and more complexity.

When I′m bored I go off skyrim and on Mw3 for abit or farm and explore some nice [censored] in skyrim :)

run about in cheapass armor and use iron weapons :D
I`m same lvl as you and use only iron armor, makes fights a good bit more challenging.

you can always go back to your old character by loading the old game though, right?
who did you follow at the beginning of the game? hadvar the imperial or the stormcloak, ralof?
start a new game with a different race and follow the other guy, instead of the one you did first.
go for a different class, build your new characters perks differently or with your old one, train him in new stuff?
you could make your old character settle down, marry someone and buy a house?

You just said you put no time, or thought into the game... You just plowed through with fire and with ease... how much time could that consume? Just saying... you contradict yourself. Be glad you can play it long enough to feel like you didn't get what you wanted.

As for the level 80 bosses, bigger and better... LOL, wait until I get the mods made... I'll have fun throwing big beasts at you until your knee's buckle like the flaming mage you are... Die milk-drinker! (Game-speak, not truly aggressive to you.)

Are you on master difficulty? Also, there has been a number of people who have claimed mages are underpowered at level 50, so your problem will get better in time.

This is one of the many problems of level scaling. Nothing to look for. You can always kill everything, leveling makes no sense.

And here sit several good reasons for the CK to be released as soon as possible. I used to do consoles but found that whenever I got a really good game I would thrash it and within a few weeks complete it or do it to the point where it all looked the same. I had an Oblivion console stint and got bored within about a month. When the modding scene really picked up at Oblivion and I dipped into modding I played and modded so hard that I am on my third disk! Yep I bought the disk three times to keep playing it. I will definitely buy it again.

Without decent modding tools, I wont be buying a second Skyrim if this one goes the way of scratchy death. The game needs modding, fast!

I'm with JD Mortal on this. I am now determined to mod in some creature that people will physically wet themselves fighting. (or wet themselves laughing, one or t'other - probably the latter)

i would love if they placed some more cool and unique high level dungeon bosses which are not dragons...something surprissing, big, like a mutant giant or a freaking huge monsterthing...or a uniqe giant dwemer robot
