Can't talk to Giants, huh?

Post » Sat Dec 10, 2011 8:28 am

I'm not so disappointed with the Falmer. They're fun to fight and I was hoping for something like Goblins in this game and they're quite a good replacement. Plus, I assumed they were Rieklings so I knew they were hostile.

But Giants? Man, they're easily my favorite character/enemy in the game. I wish wish wish I could talk to them.

I talked to a giant once. Or at least, tried to. I ended up inadvertently discovering a new form of fast travel, when my lifeless corpse was propelled violently into an exo-atmospheric ballistic trajectory. I even landed on the banks of the stream by Riverwood. I waited a while, hoping some restoration dabbler would come along and bring me back amongst the living, but all that happened was the woodworker's dog ate part of my foot.

Well said, good sir.

Yeah, this bugs me too.

First time I saw a giant, I tried to talk to it. I died.

yeah tried talking to the first giant i saw
it killed me
it sort of does make sense though
even if they can talk, why would they be interested in something they can swat like flies
plus they don't seem like very eloquent creatures to me XD

It's a feature that was taken out. There used to be a quest where you help some giants find a lost mammoth or something.

The movie Ice Age comes to mind when I read the above comment.
